Website launched!

Tuesday, 11th of March 2008.

And now I'm almost bald...

...due to stress. I won't even go through this last week and a half, as it's been quite the ride. I'll admit I learned a lot by having to constantly rethink the design of my website, and redo everything again and again (and having to throw all my flash design out the window. Urgh.)... But could I have done without it? HELL YES. That being said, it's damn nice finally having a website of my own...and why am I writing all this when you should be -

- taking a look!

So any comments? I'm particularly interested in praise about my hard work, reports of any browsers that don't show the content correctly (please include browser name+version) and such. ;D

There's still a few things missing, like a FAQ (which will be closer to a Q&A as the questions aren't quite "frequent" enough) and a few more banners, both my own and other artists'.

The site also contains a few images I haven't shown here on my DA account (+ more in the next update), and that leads me to...

What I've been doing lately.

Webdesigning, naturally. But aside from that, I've been drawing a lot "on the side". I needed a period of not worrying about posting it on DA and what people would say. It gave a lot. Drawing simply for my own enjoyment.

Though there's no reason to worry, I'm not leaving DA behind. I still have lots to show you.

So, how are you? Unfortunately, I haven't been able to keep up with DA journals, so I'd love to know.

'Till next time!

/Cado

:glomp: I've missed you!

Nice website, I'd love to see what you put together with Flash though. I'm working on Flash/HTML site stuff too for a class.

The site is working fine in Firefox for me, so that's good news. I'd like to see more CSS work on your text though, something to match the Trajan Pro you are using on the image-mapping links at the top.

Yay the gallery slideshow is working well! Did you use php/flash for that section?

hmmm news for me...I graduate in June! YAY!

Congrats on the web page:D I really like it, nice and clean. Works fine in both firefox and opera, although the thumbs over two lines look a little cramped in opera (latest version).

Missed you too! :licking:

I always have issues with making text appear interesting... urgh, such a nemesis. I've considered making the first heading Trajan Pro, too, to match the menu. It's just that now that I've somewhat finished it, it takes a lot out of me to go back and change what's basically working. It's typical me. I never go back to old projects... but I have to in this case. x:

Any suggestions how I could make the text more appealing?

The flash is shamelessly stolen from a brilliant guy. It's called Lightbox (vers 2) and it's made with javascript.

Yay for graduation! Glad to hear it. Then you'll be a full-fledged graphics designer?

I could go on and on about text....type is my favorite subject in graphic design. but I'll have to get back to you on that for now...too much stuff to catch up on!

I'll have to look up that javascript application... ;) Have to make my digital portfolio soon.

Graduation will be good...already working in the field, but now I'll have a bachelor's instead of just an associate degree :D
