Why did you join this site?
Why? To post my art of course! ...However, although I joined back in 2004, I did not post anything until over a year later. I was quite paranoid of having my stuff stolen back then. Still am, kinda, but not to the extent of not sharing my work.

What does your username have to do with you? Is it a combination of your favorite things, or a character of yours?
Back when I created my account I did it because people from Gaia (yes, I was there, way back then when it started) suggested I did. My username on there was "Avocado" (due to an epiphamy and a dictionary), but the same name was already taken here on DA. I can't remember who, but someone suggested I used "Cado" instead, which I did and it has stuck with me ever since. These days if someone yelled "Cado!" at me down the street, I'd turn around.

My OC is called Cado as well, and she holds a special place in my heart. <3

Incidentally, "cado" means "I fall" or "I am falling" in Latin. Much basis for emo, right thar!

Not only is he talented, but he replies while actually considering your comment.


There are a lot of other people as well, mostly including ones I have closer interaction with, but he kind of stands out on his own.

"Reality" being I've met them face-to-face.

Do you comment, fave, or both?
Both, but I am mostly guilty of the fav&run tactic these days due to lack of time. I tend to comment more on pieces that have not received many comments, but I don't always fave the things I comment, and the other way around. I try to only comment if I have something to say.

What do you typically post on deviantart?
Weird monsters.

Do you participate in clubs or contests here on DA?
I've participated in a few, but not so much anymore.

What are the things you wish you could draw better?
Expressions, action, buildings, anatomy (male), coherency... the list goes on. Haha!

Are you a subscriber?
Yep. Even if browsing is quite similar without a sub (granted you have the addBlockPlus add-on for Firefox), I like the extra options you get. It doesn't cost that much to subscribe, so I just do it.

How many hours a day do you spend on DA?
Maybe half an hour, if not less.

Are you a fast, slow, or medium typer?
I use two fingers to type, and I still miss some of the keys. Even if I am fast!

SHOOT EVERYONE THAT THINKS A SMILEY IS A COMMENT, ESPECIALLY IF THEY USE THAT PARTICULAR ONE.

What inspires you?
Everything, sometimes nothing. What usually gets me drawing is either 1) browsing through other artist's work here on DA or 2) me being in a bad mood. I'm quite productive when I'm pissed.

Do you use any traditional media?
Most, if not all, of my drawings are sketched by hand. I also use watercolours every once in a while as you can see in my gallery.

Do you associate people online with their icons?
It's hard not to. If there's a face on your icon, I'm going to think it's yours.

Have you ever suggested a Daily Deviation?
I have, several times. They have yet to be chosen though, but that doesn't stop me.

Everyone has considered leaving DA once or twice. Have you? Why?
I've never considered it. For that to happen, there would have to be drama of some sort. I've never been so involved in drama here or DA in general to see any reason to leave the community. I <3 DA. I've met some amazing people here, and I'm sure there's more out there to meet!
